📖 Family memory and documentary theatre

43º13’44"N traces the life of Domingo Gangoiti, the protagonist's great-uncle, through various archival documents. The work emerges from an artistic inquiry where the mechanisms of imagination step in to fill the gaps left by memory.

Conceived as a logbook in the format of performance and documentary theatre, the piece reflects on uncaptured photos, unboarded ships, and bullets that could never be removed in time.

🎭 Artistic team and production

Direction and dramaturgy are by Olatz Gorrotxategi, who also performs on stage alongside Juan Gangoiti. The production features camera work and video editing by Indi Costa, accompanied by recorded testimonies collected during the research process.

ℹ️ Good to know: The performance is staged in Basque, with recorded testimonies in Spanish.

✨ A moving theatrical journey into forgotten family archives and collective remembrance.
