The performance centers on classic jazz pieces uniquely arranged and translated into Basque. In addition to these adaptations, the band performs original compositions in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, shaping an expressive and stylistically diverse musical journey.

On stage, the ensemble features Amaia Izarzugaza on piano, synthesizer, and vocals; Aingeru Torre on tenor and soprano saxophone with effects; Jonhatan Alvarez on electric bass; and Edorta Izarzugaza on drums.

🎶 About the project

AIAMA Quartet was founded by Amaia Izarzugaza following her master's studies under Bert van der Brink at the Utrecht Conservatory. A seasoned collaborator in various bands, she reunited this quartet with three regional musicians to share their sound with renewed momentum.
