📖 Stylistic exploration and contemporary jazz

Ariane Quartet operates as a classic jazz ensemble while embracing an open and versatile musical direction. Their repertoire is shaped by the diverse individual tastes of its members, weaving a wide-ranging sonic palette.

Their concert blends the rhythmic swing tradition and post-bop intensity with modern sensibilities, bridging experimental sounds, jazz fusion, contemporary jazz, and smooth neo-soul textures throughout the set.

✨ Emerging talent from Musikene

The quartet brings together vocalist Ariane Cagno, pianist Marta Payeras, double bassist Javier Gómez, and drummer Aitor Álvarez. All of them are currently pursuing higher studies in jazz performance at Musikene, combining rigorous technique with expressive freedom in the intimate setting of Jazzon Aretoa.

✨ An inviting opportunity to discover the new voices shaping contemporary jazz in Bilbao.
