📖 Archaeological outreach and research

The Arkeologi Notebooks are an initiative aimed at sharing the work carried out across the museum's different departments. Each short publication focuses on a specific subject, explaining archaeological remains and their historical importance.

The published volumes cover topics such as portable and rock art in Bizkaia, ceramics, human and animal bone studies, prehistoric fauna, 6th and 7th-century necropolises in Vasconia, flint sourcing, medieval castles, megaliths, and the backstage work of conservation and research in museums.

🎨 The venue: Arkeologi Museoa

Located on Calzadas de Mallona in Bilbao, Arkeologi Museoa is Bizkaia's core centre for preserving, studying, and disseminating archaeological heritage, bringing scientific findings closer to the public.
