📖 Art, body and symbolic reparation

"Las que tienen que servir" is an artistic project bringing together cleaners and housewives to examine their representation throughout the history of art, music, dance and literature.

Developed through workshops involving debate, writing, collage and performance, the process translates their memories and gestures into a stage and audiovisual piece conceived as a gesture of collective and community reparation.

🎭 Artistic team and BAD Bilbao

The work is directed, choreographed and performed by Fernando López, with Belén Maya as choreographer and movement assistant, and Dani Pannullo as movement advisor. It also features guest performers from Asociación Aullidos de Otxarkoaga, costume design by La Heaty, lighting by Samuel Silva, photo and video by Alejandro Cayetano, and music by various artists.

The performance takes place at Teatro Campos Elíseos as part of BAD Bilbao, the city's festival dedicated to contemporary performing arts.

✨ An engaging stage performance exploring movement and collective memory in Bilbao.
