📖 Bodies in motion and subversive architecture

PARKUIR is conceived as a subversive sport and an artistic practice inspired by parkour. The piece proposes a critical reinterpretation rooted in sexual, gender, and bodily dissidence, inviting participants to inhabit urban structures far beyond their everyday normative uses.

In this participatory outdoor session outside the venue, the creators share the artistic research developed over the past year during their residency at Tabacalera in Madrid. Through praxis, play, and experimentation, the action directly explores the relationship between the human body and architectural forms from a queer perspective.

🎭 Festival context and creation

Lasting approximately 120 minutes, the session forms part of the BAD Bilbao contemporary festival line-up. Supported by Tabacalera, Asociación Hablarenarte, Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, and Cultura Resident (CCCC), the initiative places queer perspectives at the core of movement.

✨ An opportunity to rediscover urban movement and shared space in Bilbao.
