📖 Dialogue between monumental sculpture and sound

Inside the gallery, visitors can experience the sound installation Respiración oceánica by Itziar Okariz (1965), which transforms the acoustic atmosphere of the new hall.

The outdoor terrace showcases three monumental iron sculptures by Anthony Caro (1924–2013): Toronto flats and Low line flats, donated to the museum by the Foster family, alongside Africa, on loan from the Arango collection.

🎨 The new BBKmuseoa space

BBKmuseoa is the main gallery of the new extension designed by Norman Foster and Luis María Uriarte, featuring a column-free space of 1,500 square metres and a height of six metres.

The gallery extends across its north and west sides into an open terrace of over 500 square metres, offering an exceptional view of the surrounding urban and natural environment.

ℹ️ Good to know: Closed on Tuesdays, as well as on 25 December, 1 January, and 6 January. Special opening hours on 24 and 31 December from 10:00 to 14:00.
