📖 Magic realism, meteorites, and memory

In the early hours of 24 December 1888, a meteorite fell in Molina de Segura (Murcia). Legend has it that it carried a curious radiation affecting certain individuals, instilling in them an irresistible urge to write, make poetry, and tell stories.

The performance recounts this documented occurrence blended with touches of magic realism, object theatre, and live music. Gathered around the embers of a fading brazier, the piece weaves tenderness, humor, and Murcian folklore to reflect on unexpected impacts and the human need for fiction.

🎪 Dora Cantero and Bilbao TX Fest

Directed and written by Dora Cantero, with live music and performance alongside Joan Bramon Mora, the production draws inspiration from stories collected by Paco López Mengual. It is presented within the official programme of the Bilbao International Puppet Festival.

ℹ️ Good to know: The running time of the performance is 50 minutes.
