📖 The heritage value of reproduction
The exhibition highlights the electrotype reproduction of the Hildesheim Krater, on temporary loan from the National Sculpture Museum. Made in the 19th century through innovative industrial methods, it gained exceptional historical significance after the original piece was lost following World War II.
The exhibition route also features two iconic plaster casts from Bilbao: the Winged Victory of Samothrace, which preserves historical restoration elements no longer present on the Louvre original, and the Belvedere Torso, used in archaeological research and reconstructions.
🏛️ European Heritage Days 2026
