📖 A musical bridge between two worlds
The performance traces Falla's formative years in Paris (1907–1914), where his connection with figures like Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel shaped his harmonic refinement, inspiring celebrated works such as the Siete canciones populares españolas.
The program also delves into his life in Granada from 1920 onwards, an era of spiritual retreat and expressive purity at the Carmen de la Antequeruela. Surrounded by friends like Ángel Barrios and Federico García Lorca, he composed pieces such as Homenaje pour le Tombeau de Claude Debussy, bringing together Parisian elegance and Andalusian sensibility.
