📖 Sound exploration and avant-garde jazz

Steering clear of orthodox academic conventions, the ensemble develops its music through an open, collective creative process. Their repertoire blends original compositions with selected versions of masters such as Horace Silver, Sonny Rollins, and Joe Henderson. Diverse styles converge in their sound, ranging from hard bop and fusion to folk idioms, free jazz, and extended playing techniques.

Four Clovers also places special emphasis on gender, drawing inspiration from a wide spectrum of female composers and instrumentalists to highlight and celebrate women's essential contributions to jazz history.
