Four Clovers live in concert at Jazzon Aretoa Bilbao

An evening of contemporary and avant-garde jazz arrives in Bilbao with the instrumental quartet Four Clovers. 🎶✨

The ensemble was formed in 2024 as a personal project by a group of CSMN students driven by the desire to explore new musical languages. Their goal is to move away from strictly academic jazz through a collective and experimental creative process.

📖 Avant-garde repertoire and fresh perspectives

The quartet presents a repertoire of original compositions drawing from a wide variety of influences, spanning hard bop, jazz fusion, popular music, and free jazz. In their pieces, they experiment with extended techniques, pursuing a contemporary aesthetic that leaves orthodox formulas behind in search of an authentic personal voice.

Alongside their own compositions, their repertoire incorporates versions of key references such as Horace Silver, Sonny Rollins, and Joe Henderson. Four Clovers also places significant emphasis on gender awareness, gathering influences from an array of female composers and instrumentalists to highlight and make women's contributions to jazz visible.

🎶 The quartet at JAZZON Aretoa

Four Clovers features Rebeca Guerra on saxophone, Jon Gómez on piano, Jorge Sánchez on double bass, and Salva Madrid on drums. JAZZON Aretoa, located on Urazurrutia street in Bilbao, provides the venue for this live performance across three sessions throughout the evening.

✨ A great opportunity to discover fresh creativity and emerging talent in instrumental jazz.
