📖 The hunger for existence
A character leaps and dances ceaselessly because he no longer remembers who he is. Turned into an agile, crowd-pleasing harlequin, he devours pleasures and stimuli to evade inner emptiness and the crushing fear of insignificance. Blending physical movement, clowning, and live music, the play reflects on how gluttony warps us: tasting everything without digesting, grasping only the thrilling aspects of life to avoid stillness.
🎭 Oriol Pla and Pau Matas
The production features a solo performance by Oriol Pla Solina, for which he received the 2025 Teatre Barcelona Award for Best Performance. The staging incorporates live music by Pau Matas Nogué or Marc Sastre, alongside artistic direction in movement, sound design, and clowning. It is co-produced by Temporada Alta and the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, in collaboration with Teatre Sagarra.
✨ A standout theatre experience highlighting one of the most celebrated solo performances on stage today.
