📖 Reading promotion and family play

Ipuin Txiki is a family activity created to foster reading habits in a playful, participatory way. Through games, storytelling, and imagination, children and their companions discover books as physical objects and experience diverse ways of storytelling.

Taking new arrivals from the Mediateka children's collection as a starting point, the session explores themes such as self-esteem, emotions, grief, magic, and our bond with books. This session focuses on the books El árbol de los recuerdos by Britta Teckentrup and Liburu on bat by Amelie Javaux.

The Mediateka at Azkuna Zentroa provides a contemporary cultural setting designed for learning, play, and community engagement through culture and literature.

ℹ️ Good to know: Language: Basque and Spanish. Recommended age: 4 to 6 years old (each child must be accompanied by an adult). Capacity: maximum 8 children and 8 adults (minimum two families). Free admission upon in-person registration at the Txikiteka help desk on the day of the activity.
