📖 Shared reading and playful discovery

This initiative invites families to share tales, discover the physical book as an object, and explore different storytelling paths. Through the latest releases in the Mediateka children's collection, sessions tackle topics such as self-esteem, emotions, grief, and magic.

The programme features David Calí's "Malena Ballena" and Rachel Bright's "Dromedario txikia Petralduta dabil" in October; Britta Teckentrup's "El árbol de los recuerdos" and Amelie Javaux's "Liburu on bat" in November; and a surprise theme for the December session.

The TK101 room within the Mediateka provides an intimate, creative setting in Bilbao's contemporary cultural centre to cultivate a love for reading from early childhood.

ℹ️ Good to know: Conducted in Basque and Spanish for children aged 4 to 6, each accompanied by an adult. Free admission upon registration at the Txikiteka desk on the day of the event. Capacity limited to 8 children and 8 adults (minimum of two families). Duration: 60 minutes.
