📖 Tragedy and tension in 1950s Brooklyn

Set within an Italian-American community in 1950s New York, the plot revolves around Eddie Carbone, a Brooklyn longshoreman living with his wife Beatrice and her niece Catherine. The secret arrival of two undocumented relatives, Marco and Rodolfo, disrupts their domestic life.

Eddie's initial protective care towards Catherine spirals into an obsession as she falls in love with Rodolfo. Consumed by jealousy and suspicion, Eddie makes choices that pit him against his community and his own moral boundaries, driving the drama to an inevitable tragic climax.
