📖 An unflinching look at contemporary feminism

Published on the eve of feminism's fourth wave, Virginie Despentes' incisive work draws from her own experiences to candidly explore prostitution, rape, desire repression, motherhood, and pornography. The play seeks to shake the patriarchal foundations of modern society through a disruptive and powerful text.

With a running time of 75 minutes, this direct and striking monologue examines unresolved social questions while plumbing the depths of the theatrical space.

🎭 The production by La Virgueria

Adapted for the stage by M. Àngels Cabré, performed by Maria Pau Pigem, and directed by Isis Martín, the piece takes place on a stage setting undergoing simultaneous construction and destruction.

Following their previous production 'La punta del iceberg', La Virgueria uses multiple visual and sonic media—live camera, autonomous LED lighting, soundscapes, and projections—to create a cathartic theatrical event.

✨ A powerful and transformative theatrical experience exploring the roots of contemporary society.
